With a basic internet search we can come up with some simple yet specific information. Dementia has been related to inflammation on the brain. mHBOT can reduce inflammation, improve cognitive function and slow the progression of dementia in patients. How is this possible?
The basic principles of mHBOT.
* Increase blood flow. mHBOT can increase blood flow to the brain by up to 23%. This can help reduce brain hypoxia (low oxygen)
and improve cognitive performance.
* Reduce amyloid plaques. mHBOT can reduce the level of amyloid plaques in the brain, which are hard clumps of proteins that can reduce blood flow and lower oxygen levels.
* Improve vascular function. mHBOT can improve vascular function and reduce the amyloid burden.
* Promote new blood vessel formation. mHBOT can trigger the production of stem cells, and improves stem cell mobility, which can promote the formation of new blood vessels.
* Improve glucose metabolism. mHBOT can improve glucose metabolism in areas of the brain associated with memory,
language, and executive function.
